About Mela / Sobre Mela
I'm from Panama City, Panama. Now living in Albuquerque NM. I work on symbolic illustration with influence from molas, my cultures hand-sown textiles from the Kuna. The animals, the colors, and lines inspire my art. Most of my time is spent creating new pieces and working in a factory as a day job. Everyday for me is an opportunity to improve and grow in art, and it's the only thing that's nurtured my perspective as a first generation Latin Artist.
